Winemakers of Friuli Venezia Giulia at the New Research Centre in Rauscedo

The meeting that summarizes the past year has been hosted, for the second time, at the new Research Center of the VCR just a few days before the starting of the new harvest. We talked about the hail storm that unfortunately hit our Region in July, the qualitative potential of the grapes that we will harvest, the meteorological trend of 2023 and the comparison with last year. Two completely opposite years in terms of rainfall and climate, therefore vineyards that present themselves with a different being during the harvesting phase, the exposed leaf surface is larger this year, as is the average weight of the bunch. We were able to analyze the actual phytosanitary situation and the ripening curve divided into the various wine areas of the Region. Hard but constructive considerations and provocations were not lacking and made the meeting even more interactive and stimulating. The “Vigneto Friuli” must maintain the high quality that is rightly recognized and Cantina Rauscedo, with its agronomists and winemakers, guarantees punctual attention to the selection of the grapes suitable for being transferred to our tanks, as has always been for over 70 years and thanks to the professionalism of our employees and team members, we have become one of the leading wineries in terms of volumes, quality and number of members of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The synergy between producers, consortia and associations makes the FVG system a winner.
